We went to Seychelles for our honeymoon, from Thursday 27 November to Tuesday 2 December 2025. We took 4 leaves and used the weekend, which gave us six days across three islands: Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.
Because it was our honeymoon, the stays were the one thing we didn’t want to compromise on. That made it an expensive trip, so we’ve put every number below. Plan yours with real figures, not guesses.
In short: 6 days, 3 islands, 2 people. About ₹4.7 lakh in total, including flights and food.
The route
- Fly into Mahé and take the ferry to Praslin the same day
- 3 nights on Praslin, with a day trip to La Digue
- Ferry back to Mahé for 2 nights at Beau Vallon
- Fly home from Mahé
Day 1: Land in Mahé, ferry to Praslin
We landed in Mahé and took the Cat Cocos ferry to Praslin the same day. The last Mahé to Praslin ferry of the day leaves at around 4:30 pm, so if your flight lands late, check the timetable before you book.
On Praslin we stayed 3 nights at Coco de Mer Hotel & Black Parrot Suites, with breakfast included.

Day 2: La Digue, by cycle
La Digue is about 15 minutes by boat from Praslin. We booked a La Digue boat trip with bike rental through Creole Travel Services, so the boat and the cycles were sorted, and we spent the whole day riding around the island.
- Grand Anse: big waves and those granite boulders
- L’Union Estate: the giant tortoises
- Anse Source d’Argent: shallow, very clear water between the rocks
- A cold drink by the beach before the boat back

Day 3: A slow day on Praslin
We kept this day free on purpose. Sunrise at 6 am from outside our room, breakfast, then the pool and the beach until the sunset.

Day 4: Back to Mahé, Beau Vallon
We took the ferry back to Mahé and checked in for 2 nights at Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa on Beau Vallon, again with breakfast. The evening went to the sunset on Beau Vallon beach.

Day 5: Victoria and one last sunset
We gave Victoria, the capital, about three hours, from around 11 am to 2 pm. We walked the market street and the local stalls, saw the Clock Tower in the middle of town, and had lunch on a balcony looking right at it. Then it was back to the beach for one last sunset.

Day 6: Fly home
Checkout and the flight home from Mahé.
What it cost us (for two)
| Flights, return | ₹89,000 |
| Coco de Mer Hotel & Black Parrot Suites, Praslin · 3 nights, breakfast | ₹1,53,526 |
| Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa, Mahé · 2 nights, breakfast | ₹1,12,470 |
| Ferries, transfers and the La Digue boat trip with bikes | ≈ ₹64,000 |
| Food, 6 days | ₹50,000 |
| Total | ≈ ₹4,69,000 |
That works out to roughly ₹2.35 lakh per person. Hotel prices include taxes and are what we paid on Booking.com. For reference, the Cat Cocos ferry between Mahé and Praslin is listed at €46–57 per person one way, and the La Digue boat trip with bike rental starts at $112 per person.
Prices change by season, so check current rates before you book.
Good to know
- Seychelles is expensive. 1 Seychelles rupee is about ₹6.8, so prices on the menu look small until you multiply by roughly seven.
- Breakfast included at both hotels helped keep the food bill down.
- Watch the ferry times if you land in the afternoon. The last ferry to Praslin goes at around 4:30 pm.
