Two Go Places (twogoplaces.com) is a travel blog run by Tushar and Sanju. This page explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If you have any questions, write to us at hello@twogoplaces.com.
What we collect
- When you email us or use our contact details: your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. We use this only to reply to you.
- When you sign up for our emails: your email address (and your name, if you give it). We use it to send you our travel guides and updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
- When you browse the site: basic usage information such as pages visited, approximate location (city or country), device and browser type, and how you arrived on the site. This is collected through Google Analytics and helps us understand which guides are useful.
- Comments: if comments are open on a post and you leave one, we store your name, email address, comment and IP address, so we can moderate spam.
Cookies
We use cookies for Google Analytics and for the basic functioning of the site (for example, keeping the site fast through caching). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Services we use
- Google Analytics and Google Search Console (Google LLC), to measure visits and how the site appears in search. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and our email.
- Hostinger Reach, which stores and sends our email newsletter.
- Embedded content such as Instagram posts or YouTube videos behaves as if you visited those websites, and they may collect data about you under their own policies.
Affiliate links and partnerships
Some posts may contain affiliate links in future. If you book or buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We will always say so clearly, and we only recommend places and products we have used ourselves.
How long we keep it
Emails and newsletter sign-ups are kept until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept by Google for 14 months. Comment data is kept for as long as the comment is on the site.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails, by writing to hello@twogoplaces.com. We will reply within 30 days. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and respect equivalent rights for visitors from other countries.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
